Writing has always been part of my life.
I always enjoyed writing as a young person and dreamed of becoming a published author. I have a Dropbox folder full of half-finished stories and poems I thought would never go anywhere.
It wasn’t until speaking to the Southland Women’s Club at the start of 2025 that I remembered my old dream. When my husband told me about how many writers self-publish, I was inspired to open one of my old files. I was surprised to find I still loved the bones of the story I wrote so long ago.
